International Integrated Reporting Council Meeting is at Bogazici University!

December 3rd, 2014, Council Meeting of IIRC (The International Integrated Reporting Council) was hosted by Center for Research in Corporate Governance & Financial Regulation (CCG) at Boğaziçi University. Prof. Dr. Vedat Akgiray, the Director of CCG, made the opening remarks. As IIRC council members, senior executives of various international organizations including IIRC President Prof. Dr. Merilyn King and IIRC Vice President Peter Bakker attended to the meeting at Bogazici University.

(Integrated Reporting) IR is a process founded on integrated thinking that results in a periodic integrated report by an organization about value creation over time and related communications regarding aspects of value creation. An integrated report is a concise communication about how an organization’s strategy, governance, performance and prospects, in the context of its external environment, lead to the creation of value in the short, medium and long term.

The Council’s role, as a forum for senior representatives of the IIRC’s member organizations, is to advise on the IIRC’s mission, role and governance practices. Council Members also provide thought leadership, intellectual contribution and strategic insights relating to IIRC initiatives and activities and lend weight and credibility to the IIRC’s profile.
